PLANNING
My planning stage was quite quick because from the start my mind was already set on what to base my Hollywood poster on. I based it on Deadpool, a famous marvel character which surprisingly yet still does not have a film. I always wanted Hollywood to make a film about Deadpool so this influenced me to make the quick decision.
I made a quick draft of my poster to have a plan of what to follow, I really liked the draft so the poster looked really similar to the outcome of my poster. I did little changes to the poster and the draft because when I researched posters of Hollywood superhero movies they usually have the character mostly taking up the whole picture and then the background showing us scenes or giving us a gyst of the scenes included in the film/what is to happen in the film, my draft poster was similar so I just followed it as it was the format of Hollywood superhero movie posters, kind of like a convention.

THE MAKING OF THE POSTER
The poster looks very similar to my draft, as I followed it while making the poster. Deadpool is in the same position taking up most of the space in the poster as intended to and the villain + action is in the back; the crumbling buildings/apocalyptic setting which gives the audience a hint of what is included in the film. I used the 'final dream' background from Inception on my poster which is this because I wanted to make it seem like a high-budgeted film to the audience so that they are attracted to it because they will know that the background is made with CGI which is used only on high budget films with a lot of action scenes such as Inception itself, The Avengers, Matrix, etc.
I got most of my resources to make the poster from the internet for example I got Deadpool, the background and the title from the internet. The title I used was the one from the 'Deadpool' game that was released. I did this so that it is easily recognisable by the people who have played the game and purposely try to attract that game fan base because they will be able to relate to it and maybe want to see it.
It was hard to find a picture of Deadpool's villain so I asked to take a picture of my friend and make him the villain in the poster.
The only differences between my draft poster and the outcome is that Deadpool isn't holding a gun. This is because I couldn't find any suitable images of Deadpool holding a gun. There are pictures of him holding a gun but they are at a different angle and some of them are too cartoon-ish as they are either taken from the comic book or the 'Deadpool' game. So instead I decided to use this one because it is really similar to the one in my draft and him holding a sword doesn't make much of a difference to him holding a gun. It is still a weapon and follows the convention that the hero is skilled in weaponry. Another difference is the positioning of the tagline. This is simply because it didn't look appealing to the eyes if it was at the same position as it was on the draft.

I liked the outcome of my poster however I think I did not have a very good tagline.
The 'story' of this Deadpool film was supposed to be Deadpool being injected or manipulated by the villain to doing evil and Deadpool turns into an anti-hero due to this and wreaks havoc, later on he turns back to his senses and defeats evil. "Darkness Infests" was supposed to imply that darkness has come because Deadpool is causing mayhem or an 'apocalypse' because of his immense strength being used for bad. I made the villain look smart because he would have to be so that he can trick the hero to causing destruction. However the line "Darkness Infests" in my opinion did not clearly portray this because when I asked people in my class about what they think the story is from looking at the poster, some of them couldn't quite understand what the story was. If I were to do it again I would change the tagline to something better using the words "manipulation" or "trickery" to portray clearly what I am trying to convey.
